Ayew should replace Lanzini in the team.

Doesn't work as hard but seems more of a goal threat.
Does his work further up the pitch while Lanzini flatters to deceive too much.
Also seems to be a leader, gives out instructions and even gave Payet a bollocking for not passing to him.
Agreed?

Ayew is a very strange purchase. Not even that young at 27. Should have put the 20m towards a proper striker.
Lanzini is a great little player. He'll be back to true form soon.

I see Lanzini as the same type of player as Lallana. Difference is Lallana puts in a fucking shift and Lanzini doesn't.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but as he has had little or no real contribution so far, we could have made do, and that 20m could have been put to a real striker next.
He needs more time yada yada. Carroll was out for longer, and found the net on his first game back. He should be busting a gut like Carroll does every game, to show us what he can do.

No way is Lanzini the player to blame for our poor performances recently. Payet has been worse in some games and generally the whole team have been sub standard.
If it's a tactical decision to improve our fortunes then fair enough but it's not fair to single him out when the rest of the team have all contributed as much to our poor results as he has.

More realistically bought on the basis of 12 goals in his first PL season, player of the year at Marseille and being captain of his country to be fair.

We play Ayew as much as possible...then gets fully match fit...off to ACON...
Best if he had a " tight hamstring"...so to speak...misses ACON...recovers quickly...and starts scoring for us..
360 Prem minutes in 9 games...Zero goals...

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to think he bosses people about and does fuck all. I wouldn't mind sitting both of them out but I do think Lanzini at least has the better character even if he is out of form.
I only hope Ayew goes away to the ACON and bangs in a few goals. Maybe it will give him a kick up the arse to have to work for his national team.
